  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Toss the sliced beef with cornstarch until coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the beef for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add more oil and stir-fry red bell pepper and broccoli until tender-crisp (4-5 minutes). Add green onions, garlic, and ginger; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, vinegar, sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  6. Return beef to the skillet with vegetables. Add cooked noodles and sticky sauce; toss well to combine.
  7. Serve immediately garnished with extra green onions if desired.
