  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix panko bread crumbs with milk until combined.
  3. In a sauté pan, melt butter over medium heat; cook onions until fragrant and slightly browned; add garlic and cook briefly before cooling.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soaked bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and the cooled onion-garlic mixture; mix gently.
  5. Shape into a loaf on the baking sheet and score the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes; mix sauce ingredients and spread over meatloaf; continue baking until an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
