  • ½ cup finely diced red onion

  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil (julienned)

  • ½ tsp dried rosemary leaves
  • 1 tsp table salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the cabbage into 8 wedges, keeping the core intact.
  3. In a cast iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear each cabbage wedge until golden brown (2-3 minutes per side). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Reduce heat to medium; add butter, diced red onion, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  5. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth and stir in cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Add heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, herbs, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Nestle cabbage wedges in the sauce and bake covered for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake another 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
