  • 170 grams sliced chicken slices
  • 200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg
  • 15 milliliters water (for egg wash)
  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let sit until frothy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt; stir in yeast mixture and olive oil until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Allow the dough to rise in an oiled bowl covered for 60–90 minutes until doubled.
  5. Prepare fillings by slicing meats and vegetables; mix garlic with Italian seasoning.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; layer with meats, cheeses, and seasonings.
  7. Roll tightly from one edge to form a log; seal edges.
  8. Place seam-side down on parchment-lined baking sheet; cover while preheating oven.
  9. Brush with egg wash; cut slashes on top for steam escape.
  10. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
