  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss it with the garlic butter sauce. If needed, add reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in chopped parsley before serving.
