  • 1 lb fresh scallops
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Season scallops with salt and pepper, sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic; sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for one minute before adding heavy cream.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper; cook until slightly thickened.
  6. Return scallops to the skillet, coating them in the sauce for another minute.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with parsley.
