  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 1 pound chicken or turkey sausage, sliced
  • Cooked white rice, for serving
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Reserve two-thirds of the sauce.
  2. Marinate shrimp in the remaining sauce for at least 20 minutes in a zip-top bag.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook broccoli in olive oil until tender-crisp; set aside.
  4. Sauté sliced chicken or turkey sausage in the same skillet until browned.
  5. Add marinated shrimp (discard leftover marinade) to the skillet; cook until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Pour reserved sauce into the skillet; simmer briefly before adding cooked broccoli back in.
  7. Serve over cooked white rice and garnish with chopped parsley.
