Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix (your favorite flavor)
  • 1 box instant pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup frosting
  • Candy melts for coating
  • Toppings: sprinkles, candy eyes, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, and oil; beat for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  5. Crumble the cooled cake in a large bowl and mix in frosting until well combined.
  6. Shape mixture into balls (about 1 inch) and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  7. Melt candy melts in intervals until smooth. Dip sticks into melted candy and insert into each ball.
  8. Coat each pop with melted candy melts and immediately decorate with toppings before the coating hardens.
