Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 12 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for ganache)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of sea salt (for ganache)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel)
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes (for caramel)
  • 1 cup toasted almond slivers
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by combining graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press into an 8×8-inch pan and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  2. For the ganache, melt dark chocolate, heavy cream, and butter in a heat-proof bowl over simmering water until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and sea salt. Cool until thickened.
  3. To make the caramel, melt sugar over medium-high heat until deep amber. Whisk in cubed butter and slowly add heavy cream while mixing continuously. Add sea salt flakes and cool slightly.
  4. Toast almond slivers in a skillet until fragrant. Combine with crushed pretzels and toffee bits.
  5. Spread ganache over the chilled crust, refrigerate for 15 minutes to set, then drizzle with warm caramel sauce and sprinkle with the crunchy topping mixture.
  6. Chill the assembled bars for at least one hour before cutting into squares.
