- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional but recommended)
- Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

- Add Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, dill, lemon juice, chicken broth, and heavy cream; stir well to combine.
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet, ensuring it's coated in the sauce. Cover and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Keywords: To enhance flavor, let your butter reach room temperature before mixing it with garlic and herbs. You can adjust spice levels by varying the amount of red pepper flakes used. This dish pairs wonderfully with sides like mashed potatoes or fresh salad greens.
