  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  3. Dip each onion petal in the flour mixture, then in buttermilk, and finally coat with panko.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the onion petals in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes each.
  6. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
